My ideal job would ultimately be to set up my own tech company. But honestly, ever since starting my business, I have not really worked for anyone else. Working in an office environment as a staff is something that I have always wanted to do, especially after touring Google and Facebook office campus in San Francisco. With all the random free perks like the meals, snacks, gaming rooms, and tech accessories, not to mention all the holiday paid leave, sick leave, bonus schemes, job security etc, who wouldn't want to work there? My ideal job if I graduate would be to work in one of these firms in San Francisco.

About the Post

Google is recruiting "shopping technical services by gTech Professional Services," specialists that deliver professional services and business solutions to advertisers and publishers. GTech assists its customers to achieve long-term business goals using technical implementation and optimization. The job post holder will have:

  • To make sure high product usage and adoption. To be in contact with the customers on technical grounds providing them professional and consultative services to enhance the customer satisfaction level.
  • To team up with internal and external technical teams to smooth communication, implementation, prioritization, and analysis of client's issues and problems.
  • To promote innovative product features and help customers adopt those products through upgrades to build long-term success.
  • To deliver proper reports and technical assistance for accomplishing customer integration.
  • Provide several technical facets of the publisher and advertiser integrations through proper guidance and credentials.
  • To review the existing processes and propose tools, procedures, workflows to enhance the team's productivity.

The most significant thing that made me appealing to this post is the "technical specialist." I would love to play on technical grounds where several internet technologies can be used as well as the interactions from dealing with customers. This position is not just an IT specialist but also gives me a chance to make connections and build a relationship with these customers and clients that may be beneficial in the long run.

Qualification

The person eligible to apply for this post must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. But the preference will be given to a Master's degree holder in the field of computer science, or MBA or equivalent.

Experience Required

  • Three (3) years of experience in product commercialization, management, or sales and operations.
  • Experience in providing data management and data analysis.
  • Experience in customer service and relations experience.

  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in data management product commercialization, management, data management and analysis, sales and operations.
  • Product commercialisation includes product research, sales forecasting, product design and production, and product launching and marketing. ­ I understand the importance of staying relevant in market trends and I have conducted thorough research on potential markets and potential products.
  • I have utilized and developed new software and systems for data and product management, staff management and communications, and client feedback management. This improved efficiency within the company team, with a significant increase in sales and revenue and refined customer relations.
  • I have managed small teams from 2 people up to more than 50 people, coordinating teams and processes to drive revenue and customer relations success. This includes guiding staff by developing and implementing staff training procedures and coaching an individual to achieve top-level performance, collaborate with various departments, and inspire team efforts to exceed company objectives.

Plan to Obtain Required Expertise for the Post

As per the qualification is, a bachelor's degree in Information technology would be essential. I have experience working and running my own company that works in the same manner as that of the gTech company. Therefore, having a bachelor's degree with 10+ years of working experience will give me an edge to obtain this post. I have the basic required skills, understanding and knowledge about internet technologies. As far as with the more technical side are concerned, I will give it my best and learn with time through studying in RMIT. These are the things that can be learned by working in such environment.
